The first gathering of the Fairbanks Callers Collective happened at the Basham’s this afternoon. Their housesitters weren’t apprised of it in advance, but happily rolled with the punches, or at least stomping on the floor above them.

It was a grand affair with 7 of the group that attended David Kaynor‘s calling workshop at the Winter Dance Weekend a couple weeks ago. These folks are taking off, with live music provided at various times by Charley Hunt, Nancy Bayer, Gary Newman, Jeff Organek and John Adams.
